PM Modi hits at Congress for ‘abusing his mother’

Alwar: Hitting hard at the opposition Congress for certain references about his parents and caste made by leaders of the grand old party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi branded the “issue starved” rivals’ outfit as anti-Dalit and Casteist.

Addressing an election rally in this historic town on Sunday afternoon, Mr Modi said that the “issue starved” opposition party has touched the lowest level in politics and resorted to mud slinging instead of healthy argument and issue based debate.

“Now someone from the party abuses my mother, some other wants to know about my father and another leader raises questions about my caste”, a virtually annoyed Prime Minister said taking serious exception to utterances made by Congress leaders like Raj Babbar, Dr CP Joshi and Vilas Rao Muttemwar.

The persons who made the above references do not matter much, important is one who instigated them to make such utterances, Mr Modi said.

“They all spoke on the signal from the Naamdar”, he said targeting Congress chief Rahul Gandhi.

“I want to know from those whose four generations had ruled the country, that when the head of the Government from India visits some other country, then does the world inquire from him/her about his or her caste”, the PM quipped.

This exposes their anti-Dalit and Casteist face, Mr Modi said adding the party always had hate and disliking for Dalits and backward classes.

Garnering votes for the saffron party’s nominees for the December 7 Assembly polls in the state, the PM also showered Vasundhara Raje-led Government with all praise for the development and good governance during her 5-year regime.

“What the Vasundhara Raje Government achieved in five years, any Congress regime would have required another 75 years to achieve that,” Modi asserted amid air renting chants of “Modi-Modi”.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to address three more meetings in the state on Monday. (UNI)
