Srinagar: Postpaid mobile phone services were restored on Monday after remaining suspended for ten weeks in Kashmir valley, where people are protesting against the Centre government's decision of scrapping of Article 370 along with bifurcation of the state into two union territories on August 5.

However, internet and prepaid mobile services of all cellular companies, including BSNL, will continue to remain suspended here, where the shutdown has entered 11th week today.

According to data, above 40 lakh postpaid mobile services will be operational in the valley, bringing much needed relief to the people and security force personnel, who would be able to contact their family.(UNI)
