Lucknow: Samajwadi Party has attacked the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh led by Yogi Adityanath and claimed that the state cannot expect efficient functioning from a priest.
" If we have to chase the monkeys then the people will have to recite Hanuman Chalisa, and this CM of UP was doing the same as he is a priest", commented SP president and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav here on Saturday.
He said that the BJP government in UP has not done any single work so far and had only confused the people on the name of different schemes and projects.
Addressing a press conference here , Mr Yadav said that the situation in UP has deteriorated with development works coming to standstill. " The BJP government was only inaugurating the works started by the SP government and was involved in large scale of corruption and other irregularities," he stated.
Talking about the condition of the government departments, he alleged that the SDM of Mahoba committed suicide just due to irregularities forced on him by the District Magistrate, while the number of suicides in the police department proves about the state-of-affairs in the present regime.
" The BJP talked big about make in India. But come this Diwali you will get everything except the sweets of Chinese make. By giving Chinese company licience, the Centre has created unemployment of the Indian tech leading the major unemployment problem in the country," he claimed.
Commenting on the last night violence at the Allahabad University after Samajwadi Party candidate won the students union elections, he said BJP cannot tolerate any other winning the elections. " These BJP people always talked about honesty and transparent elections, but what happened in AU shows their actual mindset," he said while adding that in Gorakhpur, when they learnt that they cannot win the students union polls , they postponed it for indefinite period.
