Railways to bring almost 200 tonnes of LMO to Telangana, AP

Hyderabad: Indian Railway will bring almost 200 tonnes Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
Indian Railways continues to bring Liquid Medical Oxygen to the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. While Guntur has received the Second Oxygen Express of Andhra Pradesh, Sanath Nagar in Hyderabad is likely to receive the Sixth Oxygen Express of Telangana, a statement said.
 
Close on the heels of receiving the first Oxygen Express, the second Oxygen Express to Andhra Pradesh loaded with 04 tankers and filled with 76.39 tonnes of LMO was received today in Guntur. The train was loaded from Kanalus in Gujarat.
 
On the other hand, the Sixth Oxygen Express with 06 Container tankers filled with 120 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) has started is journey from Kalinganagar in Odisha to Sanath Nagar in Telangana. The train is likely to reach Sanath Nagar today, helping to boost the Oxygen Supply in the State.
 
With Indian Railways operating these Oxygen Express trains along the Green Corridors, both the trains have been running with an average speed of around 60 kmph.
 
Continuing this momentum, the supply of LMO is likely to be further strengthened with the seventh Oxygen Express having already commenced its journey. The train has been loaded with 4 tankers filled with 55.42 tonnes of LMO in Odisha and is likely to reach Hyderabad tomorrow.
 
Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR has assured that the Railways is taking all necessary steps to ensure that the Oxygen Express trains reaches in the fastest possible time.
 
He said that the movement of these trains is being given the highest sense of urgency, with multi-disciplinary teams working round the clock to ensure speedy delivery, a South Central Railway release here said.(UNI)
