Russia-Ukraine War: 5th OpGanga flight with 249 Indians reached India from Bucharest

New Delhi: A fifth flight as part of Operation Ganga with 249 Indian nationals, mostly students, evacuated from war-hit Ukraine reached New Delhi from Bucharest.

Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in a tweet that the flight is to land in New Delhi. “Moving forward in bringing Indians home. “Fifth #OperationGanga flight departs Bucharest for Delhi with 249 Indian nationals.”

On Sunday, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla had said at a special briefing that 1,000 Indian nationals have been flown out of Romania and Hungary, and another 1,000 have been evacuated from Ukraine through the land routes. (Inputs from UNI)
