SC allows Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi to withdraw his plea

New Delhi:Supreme Court on Monday allowed the Rajasthan Assembly Speaker CP Joshi to withdraw his plea against the State High Court's order asking him to defer disqualification proceedings till July 24. 
"We allow you to withdraw your (the petitioner) plea," a bench of the Apex Court, headed by Justice Arun Mishra today said. 
 
Senior advocate and noted legal expert Kapil Sibal appearing for Rajasthan state Assembly Speaker CP Joshi today submitted to the Apex Court bench led by Justice Mishra that they are withdrawing petition after Rajasthan High Court order on July 24.
 
Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi withdrew his plea from the Supreme Court against the HC order asking him to defer his decision on the disqualification notices issued to former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot & 18 dissident legislators.
 
Mr Sibal informed the Apex Court that the Rajasthan HC had passed a fresh 32-page order on  July 24 wherein several questions, including interpretation of the Tenth Schedule, were raised. "We have to weigh our legal options on what to do next," Mr Sibal said and withdrew his petition. (UNI)
