Mumbai: Shiva Sena leader Sachin Sawant was shot dead by two bike-born miscreants in Kandivali area here, late on Sunday. According to sources, the incident took place when Sawant, an up-shakha pramukh, was stopped by the assailants at Gokul Nagar and fired upon. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead.
The assailants are yet to be identified and the motive behind the murder ascertained, the sources said.Details are awaited.(UNI)
