Suresh Prabhu indicates he has offered to quit in wake of rail accidents

New Delhi: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today indicated he has offered to resign in the wake of two successive derailments taking moral responsibility. "I met the Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi taking full moral responsibility.

Hon’ble PM has asked me to wait," Mr Prabhu tweeted as yet another derailment took place early this morning after saturday's Kalinga Utkal express accident.

He said that he was extremely pained by the unfortunate accidents and loss of precious lives of passengers. "I am extremely pained by the unfortunate accidents, injuries to passengers and loss of precious lives. It has caused me deep anguish," he said. (UNI)
