Tamil Nadu shocker! Class XI student murders classmate in classroom

Chennai: In a shocking incident, a class XI student was murdered by his own classmate inside the classroom of the school on Saturday.

The 16-year-old boy died in a fight between class XI students inside the classroom at the Government school in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu.

The deceased student was identified as Akash, son of Ramesh, from near Erumapatti in Namakkal district.

Police said the clash eruped between Akash and a classmate and it snowballed in to physical attacks.

In the melee, Akash was punched by the other student in the face and head, following which he fainted and collapsed.

School teachers, on receipt of information, he was shifted to a government hospital, where he was declared dead.

While the police informed his parents he suffered seizure, they alleged foul play in the incident and wanted a thorough probe into it.
