Nizamabad (Telangana): Telangana IT and Industries Minister, KTR, sustained minor injuries in a road accident when the election campaign vehicle's driver applied sudden brakes, causing the railing of the vehicle, on which KTR and others were standing, to break and resulting in them falling off in Armur in this district on Thursday.
According to police, MLA candidate Jeevan Reddy organised a rally on the occasion of his nomination. Candidate Jeevan Reddy, KTR, Suresh Reddy, MP, and other prominent leaders were in the campaign vehicle. Given the large number of activists and leaders in front of the vehicle, the driver was proceeding with caution.
However, the driver had to brake suddenly as the activists collided with the vehicle in front. This abrupt stop led to the top grill of the vehicle being dislodged, causing KTR, Jeevan Reddy, and Suresh Reddy to suffer minor injuries.
KTR and Suresh Reddy responded to the accident. They explained that it occurred due to sudden braking but reassured everyone that they had safely disembarked and no serious injuries were sustained.
KTR expressed his gratitude for the concerns from his supporters and party members regarding his health.
Following the accident, KTR proceeded to a roadshow in Kodangal immediately after the nomination process concluded. (UNI)
