Aurangabad: The Muslim Numainda Council (MNC), Aurangabad, a federal apex body of all Muslim parties, demanded on Wednesday to re-construct the Babri Masjid at its original site in Ayodhya. On the 25th anniversary of the Babri Masjid Demolition today, various organisations, educational institutions, religious sects and NGOs expressed deep anguish and sorrow about inaction in this regard.
The MNC gave a memorandum of their demand to President Ram Kovind, through Auragabd divisional commissioner Dr Purushottam Bhapkar, urging to re-construct the mosque at its original site. They pointed out in the memo that the earlier government had assured to re-construct the mosque at original site, but the same remain unfulfilled till date.
More than two decades have passed since the demolition of Babri Masjid and justice has yet to be delivered, it was stated."The High Court judgment regarding title suit of Babri Masjid had come as a rude shock as it contradicted the very essence of justice. legal experts, judicial luminaries. Justice-loving people of India,
irrespective of their state, caste, creed or religion, have expressed their apprehension and surprise over it. We have not lost faith in the judicial system and the doors of justice remain open in the form of Supreme Court. The Judiciary should be committed and pass judgments as per merits of the case based on existing laws," it was stated in the memo.
The present government, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who repeatedly assured ‘Sub ka sath, sub ka vikas’, deserves to be seen while deciding this sentimental issue of Babri Masjid, the MNC added.(UNI)
