You may not like this news much, but it seem to be happening! Twitter has changed its user policy and now it says that it can share user information with third parties!

Only recently Supreme Court had directed WhatsApp and Facebook to file an affidavit on user data. Twitter appeared to take a clue from this and tweaked its privacy policy without being asked to do so, or who knows!

But the poing is that now Twitter may take its user data out of the country! Although Twitter is maintaining that this will be within the purview of its services.

This sequence of events is unfolding at a time when government is planning to make it mandatory for internet and mobile companies to store user data locally.

On Wednesday, Supreme Court had asked Twitter, Google and the union government for legal views on lack of regulations over data-sharing with entities across countries in violation of a citizen's right to privacy.

The court had also asked Facebook and WhatsApp to file affidavits on whether they share data with third parties or not.
