Migrants who depend on daily wages for survival faced a lot of challenges for their livelihood. Coming to their rescue, CM yogi directed his officials to work towards the multifold agenda of providing transportation facilities, delivering ration kits, and running healthcare centres for outbreak prevention. The Government has also announced schemes to provide free rations to the migrants.

Making the returning migrants his strength, the CM has always said that it is the government’s responsibility to take care of each and every necessity. Making it true, the CM also proved that his action matters more than words.

The study of the Harvard University Business School dealt with how the ‘Yogi Model’ took care of the migrants through a combined mechanism of prevention from COVID-19, sustenance of their families, employment arrangements along with skill mapping and other logistics.

In fact, CM Yogi presented three books to PM Modi, one regarding study of Harvard University, another the similar study by John Hopkins University and the third one by the suggested model of ascertaining Gross Domestic Product at district level.(UNI)
