UP Shocker! School teacher, wife, 2 daughters shot dead at home in Amethi

Amethi (UP): Four members of a family were shot dead by unidentified persons in the Shivratanganj area of Amethi district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Friday.

Police sources said that Sunil Kumar (35), who was a teacher in a government school, lived in a rented house near Maa Ahorwa Bhawani crossing.

Police sources said on Thursday Sunil Kumar, his wife Poonam Bharati (33), daughters Drishti (7), and Lado (2) were shot by unidentified miscreants.

"The victims were taken to a community health centre, where doctors declared them dead," they said.

IG Praveen Kumar said that the police inspected the spot.

"Our forensic team also inspected the spot thoroughly. Some important evidence has been found during inspection. Four teams have been constituted, and the incident will be worked out soon," he said.
