Youth thrashed by militants succumbs in Srinagar

Srinagar: A youth, who was critically injured after being allegedly thrashed by militants on March 8, died in the S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on Thursday, official sources said.They said 20-year-old Omais Rashid Bhat was kidnapped and later tortured by militants for his alleged links with security forces at Quimoh in Kulgam district on March 8. 

He was found in an unconscious condition next morning at Batpora and immediately rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to SKIMS. However, Bhat lost the battle and succumbed to his injuries Investigations were on.(UNI)
