Bhopal: In the wake of another shocking instance coming to light of an online game leading to the death of a minor, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Monday that he is soliciting the opinion of Law Department officers vis-à-vis legal proceedings against companies creating such software.
Expressing grief over the demise in Chhatarpur District owing to the game ‘Free Fire’, the politician said in the state capital that a first information report has been registered.
“Swift measures shall follow,” he emphasised during an interaction with members of the Fourth Estate.
A 13-year-old boy ended his life in Chhatarpur district after he lost Rs 40,000 while playing online game ‘Free Fire’. (Inputs from UNI)
