Chandigarh: A 19-year-old student from Haryana studying at Chandigarh University (CU), Gharuan, committed suicide by jumping from the water tank near Khanpur village in Kharar.
As per police reports, Sumit Chikra was going through stress due to financial problems.
Police said before committing suicide, he attempted to cut his wrist and later jumped from the water tank. He was the only son of his parents.
