Andhra Pradesh: Rajasthan tourist jumps into lion's enclosure to take selfie at Tirupati zoo, mauled to death

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a tourist from Rajasthan was mauled to death by a lion after he jumped into its enclosure to take a selfie at Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park (SVZP) here on Thursday afternoon.
 
The tourist was identified as Prahlad Gujjar (34) belonging to Bansur town in Alwar district of Rajasthan.
 
The tourist entered the Lion enclosure by scaling the seven feet high gate and was attacked by the male Lion named Dongala Poor, according to zoo authorities.
 
He died on the spot.
 
The zookeepers and security officers informed the police who sent the body of the tourist to Ruia hospital for autopsy.
