New Delhi: Amid continuing blockade of the national highway, Army Chief Gen Dalbir Singh today reached Manipur to review the security situation with local army commanders in the state. He will hold a series of meetings with his officials during his stay, sources in the Army told UNI.
The Army Chief's visit comes a day after the Centre reviewed the situation in Manipur in the wake of the economic blockade of a highway, with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju asking the state government to end the "worrisome" conditions that have triggered a "humanitarian crisis. (UNI)
