Army orders Court of Inquiry into J&K human shield incident

New Delhi: The Army has ordered a Court of Inquiry(CoI) against the officer who used stone pelter Farooq Ahmed Dar as a human shield by tying him in front of a vehicle in Kashmir on April 9. The CoI has been given time till May 15 to submit his report on the incident, according to sources. (pic -twitter)
 

Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat had visited Kashmir after the incident and also met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Governor NN Vora. He had later briefed NSA Ajit Doval about the situation in Kashmir. The human shield incident had triggered public outcry. (UNI)
