Nashik: About 300 hens (Chickens) of one farmer were found dead due to bird flu in western tribal belt in Baglan taluka of the district on Wednesday.
The district administration sent a team to the area under senior officers of the animal husbandry department. The animal husbandry team rushed to Vagripada and Baripada along with the quick action team.
The team caught 1192 chickens (hens) from the Vagaripada and Baripada and buried them in the pits made by the administration. The Baglan Mla Dilip Borse visited the village during the operation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sudhakar Shirsat, the joint commissioner of animal husbandry asst commissioner of animal husbandry Dr Baburao Narwade, district animal husbandry officer Dr Vishnu Garje and other officers were present during the operation. (UNI)
