Guwahati: The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has snapped its ties with the Congress-led grand alliance in Assam.
BPF general secretary Prabin Boro on Monday told local media that the party has decided to snap ties with the Grand alliance.
The BPF had joined hands with the grand alliance ahead of the Assam Assembly elections.
The party's decision comes less than two months after is faced drubbing in the Assembly elections in Bodo dominated areas.
The BPF could only bag four seats in the BTR region compared to the 12 it won in the 2016 elections.
It was a partner in the previous BJP-led government in Assam. (UNI)
