Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Sunday again reiterated that the party will not have any alliance in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand assembly polls early next year.

BSP has already finalised a pre poll alliance in Punjab with Akali Dal, which will also go to polls along with UP and Uttarakhand.

Earlier media reports had said that BSP could ally with AIMIM in the UP polls.

In a series of tweets on Sunday morning, Ms Mayawati said," news channels, are saying since yesterday that AIMIM and BSP will fight the upcoming assembly elections in UP together. This news is completely false, misleading and not based on facts.  There is not an iota of truth in this and BSP vehemently denies it".

She said, "by the way, in this regard, it is again clarified by the party that, except Punjab, in UP and Uttarakhand, this election to the assembly to be held in the beginning of next year, BSP will not form any alliance with any party, and will fight alone."

The former UP CM said, "Keeping in mind such concocted and confusing news about BSP, now Satish Chandra Mishra, National General Secretary of BSP and Rajya Sabha MP, has been made the National Coordinator of BSP Media Cell."

"At the same time, it is also an appeal to the media that before writing, showing and publishing any such misleading false news regarding Bahujan Samaj Party, they should clarify it from Mr SC Mishra" she said. (UNI)
