Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Mumbai on a two-day tour to attract domestic investors, said bulldozer can be a symbol of peace because of its role in infrastructure and development works.

Chief Minister Yogi was talking to reporters after participating in an event of the UP Investor Summit here. Can a bulldozer be a sign of peace and development, as it can be used to enforce laws. Yogi Adityanath, who is often referred to as 'Bulldozer Baba', echoed this in Mumbai.

Yogi also said the idea is to establish Film City in UP and not to move it away from Mumbai.

CM Yogi, who is on a two-day visit to Mumbai to attract domestic investors ahead of the UP government's Global Investor Summit 2023 to be held from February 10 to 12 in Lucknow, when asked about the Bulldozer Baba tag, said bulldozer infrastructure plays a role in development work so it can be a symbol of peace and development. When people violate laws, bulldozers can be used to take action to establish law and order, he added.

When asked about the allegations leveled by the Maha Vikas Aghadi that UP is trying to take the film industry out of Mumbai by making its film city in UP, Yogi replied that Mumbai is Arthbhoomi (the land of economy), while UP is Dharmabhoomi (the land of faith) so the beautiful combination of both can happen. We do not want to remove the film city from here, but we are building it, he added. The work is in progress and some top studios have shown interest in coming to UP. UP's Film City is spread over 1,200 acres, while Goregaon has about 520 acres only, he said.

The BJP government in UP has set a target of making the state a $1 trillion economy in the next five years. With a state population of 25 crore, Yogi Adityanath said UP has 96 lakh MSMEs, a chain of expressways, abundant water resources and is rapidly building its infrastructure. He said it will soon get a semi-conductor project and will have five international airports.

He said UP is an investment destination and equally it is a big market and has the highest number of youth compared to anywhere else in India. (UNI)
