Srinagar: A bullet-riddled body was fished out from a water body in south Kashmir district of Pulwama today, official sources said. Recovery of the body evoked massive protests in the area. Panic gripped Gadoora area in Pulwama district when some locals saw a body in a local nullah. The body with bullet wounds was fished out, they sources said, adding that the deceased was identified as Mohammad Yousuf Lone. Later, hundreds of people, including women, protested against the killing of Lone.
However, police has registered a case and initiated proceedings. This was the second body that was recovered in south Kashmir during the past 48 hours. On May 17, body of a former militant was fished out from a water body at a village between Pulwama and Shopian districts. (UNI)
