Lucknow: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly poll early next year, Congress has brought out a booklet to hit out at the RSS and BJP, party sources said on Tuesday.

Party will distribute around 55 lakh of these booklets among the Congress workers. The party also plans to distribute an additional 45 lakh booklets during the assembly polls.

The booklet doesn't mention the name of the publisher or the Congress party. The party has been distributing these booklets to its workers in all the districts as part of the on going 'training workshops', a senior party leader confirmed here on Tuesday.

The 16 page booklet titled 'Bharat aur Bharatiyata ke Khilaf RSS aur BJP' also makes allegations against the RSS.

UP Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu too has admitted that this booklet is being distributed among the party workers during training programme.

It accuses RSS of betraying and sabotaging the freedom movement while blamed the Sangh of betraying and opposing the symbols of freedom, the national flag and the national anthem.

The booklet also slams Sangh Parivar as being anti Constitution, citing an article published in the RSS mouth piece 'Organiser' at the time of framing of the Indian Constitution.

The booklet is being described as Congress's effort to fight the RSS on the ground and build an ideological narrative against it.

The other booklets being widely distributed among the Congress workers are titled -- 'Hum Congress ke Log', 'Dusprachar aur Sacch', 'Kisne Bigara Uttar Pradesh and Jimmedar Kaun', 'Corona Sankat Ke Dauran Modi Sarkar ki Laparwahi ka ek Dastavej'.

It is being said that among all these booklets the one focusing on the RSS that is highly volatile and can usher in a war of words between the Congress and the BJP/RSS. (UNI)
