Court convicts 13 RSS activists in murder case

Thiruvananthapuram: Thirteen RSS activists were convicted in the murder of a CPM worker by the Additional Sessions Court here today.

The crime occurred on April 1, 2008 at Kaithamukku, near Passport office, when the CPM activist Vishnu was hacked to death, allegedly by the RSS activists. The quantum of sentence will be pronounced tomorrow.The court acquitted 16th accused Arun Kumar alias Shaiju. The 14th acused Azam Ani, a local BJP leader, is still absconding. The third accused Renjith of Uliyazhthara died during the trial. (UNI)
