Delhi Governor and CM Kejriwal cast their vote in MCD polls

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken and Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr Harsh Vardhan were among the early voters in the MCD elections, polling for which began at 0800 hrs. Mr Kejriwal and his family cast their vote at a polling booth in Civil Lines, while LG Baijal and his wife exercised their franchise at a polling booth in Greater Kailash II.

Mr Maken cast his vote at a Rajouri Garden polling booth, while Dr Vardhan cast his vote in a polling booth in Krishna Nagar. Polling for 270 wards of three Municipal corporations - North Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and East Delhi Municipal Corporation, began at 0800 hrs.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal exercised his franchise for the MCD election, voting for which began here this morning. The LG was among the early ones, to cast his vote along with his wife at a polling booth in GK II. Election to the three municipal corporations- the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation and the East Delhi Municipal Corporation, began at 0800 hrs. (UNI)
