Srinagar: Dukhtarn-e-Milat (DeM) chief Asiya Andrabi was shifted to women police station here from Baramulla after the High Court quashed her detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

She has been detained in women police station at Rambagh in the uptown, a spokesperson of the DeM said this morning. Asiya was taken into custody on October 4 in the city outskirts after she was evading arrest in alleged anti national activities cases, including unfurling Pakistan national flag on August 14 and anti India speeches.

She was booked under PSA and later shifted to Baramulla and detained there. However, the DeM chief challenged her detention and the court quashed her detention under the PSA on December 15.(UNI)
