Lucknow: A Travelling ticket examiner (TTE) has been arrested allegedly for urinating on a female passenger in Kolkata-bound Akal Takht Express, police sources said here on Tuesday.
Police sources said that one Rajesh along with his wife boarded the train from Amritsar and were going to Kolkata.
"Around midnight TTE Munna Lal, a resident of Bihar, urinated on the head of Rajesh's wife in coach number A-1. When the woman raised alarm her husband and other passengers nabbed the TTE and thrashed him," they said.
Police sources said that when the train reached Lucknow the TTE was handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP).
"The TTE was arrested after lodged a case and has been sent to jail," they said.
Police sources said that the passengers travelling in the coach informed the GRP that the TTE was in an inebriated state. (UNI)
