New Delhi: Elections to Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur will be held in February-March beginning from February 4 and concluding on March 8, the Election Commission announced here today.
The counting of votes in all states will take place on March11, and results were expected the same day. Goa, Punjab and Uttarakhand will go to polls in single phase, while Manipur will see two phase polling and Uttar Pradesh will have seven-phase polls, Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi told a press conference here today.
