Forest officials rescue 6 ft long crocodile from a school pond in Odisha

Kendrapara:The forest personnel of Rajnagar forest Range rescued a 6 feet long estuarine crocodile from the Naladia minor school pond under Ostia GP of Rajnagar block.
The locals came across the estuarine crocodile at the school pond and informed the forest personnel of Rajnagar forest Range to rescue the reptile.
As the village is located near the Brahmani river, the forest personnel suspected that the crocodile might have strayed from Bhitarkanika National Park, its natural habitation.The salt water crocodile was handed over to the forest department. It will be released in its natural habitat at the creek of Bhitarkanika National park, forest official sources said.(UNI)
