Mangaluru: Former Union Minister Oscar Fernandes' health condition is critical, doctors attending on him at Yenepoya Hospital said.
Mr Fernandes, who suffered a fall at home leading to brain injury, is in ICU, the doctors added.
Former state home minister M B Patil, who visited the ailing leader, said specialist doctors are treating the leader and that best treatment will be provided to him.
Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary also visited the hospital to enquire about the leader's well-being.
Talking to media persons, Mr Poojary said, 'God will help and Oscar will be fine.'
Earlier, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi had enquired about Fernandes' health condition. (UNI)
