New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the loss of lives in a road accident in Gujarat's Anand district and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased.
Ten people were killed when a car, they were travelling in, collided with a truck near Indranaj village in Anand district on Wednesday morning.
"Saddened by the loss of lives due to a road accident in Anand district in Gujarat. Condolences to those who lost their near and dear ones," Prime Minister's office tweeted quoting Mr Modi.
An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund would be provided to the next of kin of those deceased, the Prime Minister said. (UNI)
