Ambala: Thieves stole jewellery and other available articles from as many as 24 of the 32 lockers in the Ambala Central Coopertative Bank Naraingarh on Sunday night.
A complaint lodged by the Bank Manager Bhushan Lal Gupta stated on Monday that the thieves had entered the bank by breaking the RCC wall with cutter. They had entered the locker chamber and opened 32 lockers by making hole with cutter.
He said they stole gold and other ornaments from each of the lockers and took away jewellery with them. They had found 8 lockers empty from where they didn’t steel any thing.
However, documents stored in these lockers were found scattered. They took away CCTV DVR to remove evidence, he said. Two women depositors Kanta and Neelam said that they had kept gold weighing 20 and 45 tolas in the lockers.
