HC grants bail to Actor Dileep in actress abduction case

Kochi: Leading Malayalam actress Dileep, who had been in jail in connection with the case of conspiracy in abduction and attack of a leading actress, heaved a sigh of relief as the Kerala High Court has granted him bail. This was for the third time that Dileep moved the bail application before the High Court and the single bench Judge Justice Sunil Thomas granted a conditional bail today.
 

Earlier on four occasions, two each in trial court and the high court had rejected his bail applications. The actor will come out from jail after 85 days. The actor had reportedly sought a conditional bail, and the HC has granted him bail on strict conditions such as surrendering his passport at the court, a bail bond of Rs one lakh and two bail bondsman. The court has also warned Dileep against influencing any of the witnesses or any attempts to destroy any evidences. (UNI)
