Newdelhi: In a rare intervention, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh resumed the debate on the demonetisaiton in the House, calling it a “monumental management failure” which has resulted in “organised loot” and “legalised plundering”. He asked the Prime Minister to come out with constructive, pragmatic and practical measures to provide relief to the common man.
Dr Singh’s strong criticism of notes ban came after the Leader of the Opposition asserted on his party’s behalf that they were not against demonetisation, but against the immense hardships being faced by the common man across the country. This is how twitter reacted:
