When you are touched by the poetic Muse and happen to write down some verse out of sheer inspiration, what is the next thing you want to do? To read it aloud to someone, right? And what if there is no one to listen? You will still write what you need to write but the joy of creation will be little less!

How if someone cares to make it little better!

Right now in India, there are not many online poetic platforms where new and young poets can share, publish, recite and discuss their poetry. Those days are bygone when poems were published by some editors and publishers in their journals and books, and the advent of blogging has turned the tide for literary pursuits, however, the question of the reach still remains the same. How to reach to a larger audience!

We have platforms like ‘Rekhta’ and ‘Kavita kosh’ and ‘Hindi Samay’ but they are far from reach of common poets, and this very situation gave birth to the idea of ‘Kavishala’.

In an age when everyone can build their friends group, movie group, theater groups, photographer’s group, ‘Kavishala’ is a forum where you have a group of new and young poets available online, sharing their work, ideas and poetry.

‘Kavishala’ is brainchild of Ankur Mishra. He had started Kavishala for his own poems in May 2016. But in next few months, he got many requests to share user's poems on Kavishala. So in July he opened it for all and got good response. Evidently, aspirant poets were loving this platform.

This is unique platform, where new poets can write, recite, share, publish and discuss their poetry online as well as offline.

Kavishala Android App was launched in July 2017 to take it to the mobile phones instead of desktop computers. Today, Kavishala boasts of some7000-8000 visitors per day, 3000+ Active contributors, 30000+ live poetry and so on.

Believe it or not, but in an age of abundant prosaicness, a platform for poetry is thriving with the contribution of young poets themselves!
