Mumbai: The Maharashtra government on Thursday took the decision to reduce the prices of petrol by Rs five rupees and diesel by Rs 3 during the first cabinet meeting.
The new rates of Petrol and diesel will come to effect from Thursday night.
It's a major relief to the peoples Maharashtra.
The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena-BJP government in the state held meeting Thursday after formation of its government under the chairmanship of Mr Shinde and Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadanvis.
Apart from reducing the prices of fuel, many others decision has been also taken including
Clean Maharashtra Mission (Civil) 2.0 Mission" which will be implemented in the state, said Chief Minister.
Center sponsored Amrit Abhiyaan (Atal Mission For Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) will be implemented in the state.
The cabinet has also taken decision to elect mayors of Nagar Parishad and Nagar Panchayat be held directly.
Also the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat in the state will also be directly elected.
Right of direct voting had been given to all farmers in market committees in the state, said statement issued by Chief Minister office.
The Decision to resume the scheme which was closed on 31st July, 2020 for honouring, reasonably persons who suffered during the Emergency period is also in the offing.
The Chief Minister office said those farmers paying crop loans regularly will get incentive of Rs 50,000 about which final decision will be taken in the next cabinet meeting. (UNI)
