Nagpur: Due to the rapid spike in the Corona-19 positive cases from the last few days and after the city reported more than 1700 cases on March 10, Guardian Minister of Nagpur Dr Nitin Raut has ordered a strict lockdown in the city from March 15 to March 21.
The decision was taken after a review meeting held on Thursday morning at the District Collectorate office. It was viewed that people with positive COVID-19 symptoms and even the ones who are advised isolation were not following the SOP resulting rise in the number of cases day by day.
The lockdown will be in the jurisdiction of the Nagpur Police Commissionerate.
Factories will be opened while private offices will be closed. Government offices will work with 25 per cent attendance as being the month of March.
Medical and important services will be opened. (UNI)
