Chennai: In a shocking incident, a woman, who has been suffering from nagging head ache due to a neurological problem, killed her two young children and later attempted suicide at Olapalayam village near Vellakoil in Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu last evening.
The incident came to light today when the bodies of her daughter Harshita (12) and son Kalaivendan (7) were found at their farm land. She later attempted to end her life.
Police said the children's mother Revathi (39) has been under mental stress after she was diagnosed to have suffering from a neurological disorder, which prompted her to kill her two young children.
Her husband was not present when the incident occurred.
Revathi was first rushed to Kangeyam General Hospital and later referred to KMCH, Coimbatore for advanced treatment.
The Vellakoil police have registered a case and are investigating. (UNI)
