Navjot Singh Sidhu's advisor Mohammad Mustafa booked for hate speech

Chandigarh: Punjab Police have registered an FIR against former DGP and Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu's Principal Strategic Advisor Mohammad Mustafa for his alleged hate speech in Malerkotla few days back.

An FIR has been registered against Mustafa, husband of Punjab cabinet minister Razia Sultana, at City Police Station Malerkotla under section 153-A for promoting enmity among communities and section 125 of Representation of People Act 1950, 1951 and 1989.

The opposition parties, including AAP and BJP, have been attacking not only Mustafa but also the top leadership of Congress after his purported video went viral of social media.

Meanwhile, the former DGP has claimed that his outburst was not against a particular religion but against unscrupulous elements. (UNI)
