Raisen: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken cognisance of an attempt to convert about 20 Hindu girls, including some from the North East, to Christianity at a missionary hostel in tribal-dominated Intkhedi.
During an inspection on Monday by NCPCR Chairperson Priyank Kanoongo, a dozen copies of the Bible were found under beds.
In a letter dated November 9, the NCPCR directed the Collector and the Superintendent of Police to take action, including sending the students back to their homes. (UNI)
