Newborn mauled by pack of dogs in Bhadohi, UttarPradesh

Bhadohi: A newborn was mauled by a pack of dogs in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.

The sources said that someone threw the baby in the bushes near a canal in Dehati village of Gyanpur area late Sunday. "The child was attacked by a pack of dogs. Alerted by the cries of the child, local residents rushed to the rescue, but the baby was already dead due to the attack," they said.The body was sent for post mortem and an investigation is underway.(UNI)
