Nitish announces end of lockdown, only night curfew from 7 PM to 5 AM

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday announced the end of lockdown which was imposed on May 5 and informed that only night curfew would continue from 7 PM to 5 AM.

Mr Kumar, after a meeting of Crisis Management Group, tweeted announcing the end of lockdown. He, however, maintained that night curfew would be imposed from 7 PM to 5 AM.

Chief Minister said that private and government offices would remain open till 4 PM with 50 percent attendance. All shops and business establishments would remain open from 6 AM to 5 PM while earlier it used to open till 2 PM only, he added.

Mr Kumar said that private vehicles would be permitted to move on roads. Online teaching had also been allowed, he added.

Chief Minister said that the new arrangement would continue for next one week. He appealed to people to follow the Corona guidelines strictly. (UNI)
