Pakistani intruder shot dead by BSF in Samba sector

Jammu: Alert troops of Border Security Force on Monday shot dead one Pakistani intruder along international border in Samba sector of Jammu region.

BSF spokesman here said that at about 0945 hours, ever vigilant BSF troops observed a Pak Intruder heading towards a fence in the area of Border Outpost Chak Faquira, Sector Samba, Jammu.

Despite repeated warnings, he said that the intruder kept moving under suspicious circumstances and approached fencing in an aggressive manner towards the BSF fence and was fired upon by BSF troops.

Dead body of the intruder is presently recovered while the distance from the border was approximately 40 metres (own side).

It may be noted that a Pakistani intruder was killed in the same area on Nov 23, 2020 and a tunnel was also detected in this area recently. Search of the area in progress, he added. (UNI)
