Ralegan Siddhi: Social Activist and Gandhian Anna Hazare today said that people were losing faith in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and blamed the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for it. Once mentor of Mr Kejriwal, Mr Hazare said, the loss of the AAP in the MCD polls was "unfortunate".

Talking to reporters at Ralegan Siddhi, the anti-corruption crusader said when this party was elected to power in Delhi, but people of the whole country had great expectations from it. "There was a feeling that the party would bring a change in the system, but the faith of the people started falling flat," Mr Hazare added.

He said there were several reasons for this, but the most important was that Arvind Kejriwal did not do what he preached. The BJP today secured a hat-trick of victories in the MCD polls, winning majority in the three Municipal Corporations, elections for which were held on April 23. As per the results, AAP is at the second spot while Congress has been relegated to the third spot. (UNI)
