People throng for cash in national capital after 3-day bank holiday

New Delhi: Banks opened today after three-days of holiday post-demonetisation, witnessing a huge rush as cashless people were seen standing in front of the banks making lines to withdraw their money. In North Delhi's Vijay Nagar area people were standing in large numbers outside various banks in the area since early morning.

While maximum of the cash vending machines was not dispensed cash, only a few ATMs were functioning in the area leading to more trouble for the people residing here.Since after one month of the note-ban, the scenario of the State Bank of India branch don't seems to change as people were seen standing in long queue to get cash. While, the PNB branch witnessed a less rush.
