Puducherry: Education Department Director sets precedent, admits his child in Govt school

Puducherry: At a time when government servants are reluctant to admit their wards in government schools, Education Department Director Rudra Goud on Monday admitted his child in Government LKG class and became a role model to other government servants.

As the Coronavirus Disease (Covid 19) infection cases came down here and no new cases were reported today leaving only 16 active cases in the union territory, the KG classes began on Monday after a gap of nearly two years.

Mr. Rudra Goud came to a Government school at Lawspet here along with his daughter, filled up the application form and admitted her in the Government school in LKG class.

All political parties here are demanding that the government should issue an order that the wards of government servants should be admitted to government schools only. (UNI)
