Reliance Jio extends free services till March 2017

Mumbai: Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIO), the digitial arm of billionaire Mukesh Ambani-controlled Reliance Industries, today announced that its free offer for voice and data will continue till March 2017. All existing 52 million users on the ''welcome offer '' announced in September will automatically be signed up for this offer once their existing offer expires this month.
 

''Starting December 4, every new Jio user will get the full bouquet of Jio content (data, voice and video) free till March 31, 2017. We are calling this the Jio Happy New Year offer,'' RIL’s CMD, Mukesh D Ambani, said. ''All existing users will continue to enjoy unlimited offer till December 31 and will automatically be upgraded to Jio New Year offer,'' he added.

Reliance Jio now has 50 million subscribers since it launched services in September. Jio has added six lakh subscribers daily on an average. Aadhaar-based, eKYC-based SIM activation is being done in 2 lakh outlets and will be expanded to 4 lakh outlets by March 2017,Mr Ambani said. (UNI)
